Exploring Nature

Combining nature, art and a little craftiness. Join our naturalist staff for some hands-on guidance to create a project that will help bring a little nature into your home.

Cost: $30 members; $45 non-members.

Description:: Build and Paint an Eastern Bluebird House for your own outdoor space. Working together we will build and decorate a wooden birdhouse to provide a habitat for a local songbird. Along the way we will discuss some of the challenges of our native Eastern Bluebird, including the invasive European Starling and English Sparrows, and how we can help!
Note: Necessary tools and safety equipment will be provided. Cost of workshop includes materials to build one project. Kids of all ages 6 and up may attend. Under 13 requires an adult chaperone at no additional fee.
