Children’s Programs

• Naturalist Explorers: Hunker Down at Home (1:00 – 3:00 p.m.)

Naturalist Explorers classes introduce children ages 5 to 8 to environmental and natural history topics in a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere. All classes include a short introduction inside followed by outdoor activities. Children should come dressed for the weather, wear closed toe shoes, and bring a water bottle. Parents are welcome to drop their kids off or to stay and participate with their child. Classes are offered one Saturday each month from September to May.

Fees per student:	$18 for members / $33 for non-members

Description:	Animals that stay in an area year round have adaptations to cope with winter weather. Can you change the color of your hair or skin every fall and spring? Explore this skill and all the curious things animals can do to survive the winter months.
