Naturalist Explorers: Plant Protection (1:00 – 3:00 p.m.)
Naturalist Explorers classes introduce children ages 5 to 8 to environmental and natural history topics in a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere. All classes include a short introduction inside followed by outdoor activities. Children should come dressed for the weather, wear closed toe shoes, and bring a water bottle. Parents are welcome to drop their kids off or to stay and participate with their child. Classes are offered one Saturday each month from September to May.

||Plants also have adaptations to handle winter weather. What makes the leaves turn orange and yellow? Why don’t pine trees lose their needles in the winter? Where do all the leaves go? Discover the ways trees and plants get ready for winter.
