Arboretum at Night

Join us for a wonderful evening under the “pink” moon with members of the Houston Astronomical Society.

Date: Saturday, April 12
Time: 8:30 – 10:30 p.m.
Description: According to Farmer’s Almanac, the full moon in April usually occurs during the blooming of a perennial herb called Moss Pink. Whereas it’s native only east of the Mississippi River, we have our own Prairie Phlox with similar color and habit. Other night sky objects such as Jupiter and Mars will be seen. Beverages, fruit, and cheese will be available.
Note: Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to stroll approximately 1/4 mile from the building to the meadow where the telescopes will be set up.
Note: Minimum registration is required to hold the event and is subject to cancellation if it does not.
Cost: $30 M / $45 NM; $15 per child with a minimum age of 9. Children under 9 may not attend.
