Our home school classes are offered on Mondays from 1:00-3:00 pm for students ages 5-12. A different three-week science unit is taught each month, with each class consisting of instructional time, hands-on activities, and guided nature walks. Handouts for parents with extension ideas and projects are provided for follow up at home.

Some animals are predators, some are prey, and some are both! Explore food chains as we look at the predator-prey relationship. Discover both physical and behavioral adaptations of predators and how prey escape being eaten!
Fish are interesting animals. Explore the characteristics of fish and their life in the water. Understand the place of fish in an ecosystem and why conservation is important. Learn to use a cane pole and have fun
trying out your fishing skills.
Mammals come in so many different shapes and sizes. What makes them all mammals? Learn the characteristics of mammals. Examine mammal skulls and discover clues that tell you if the animal is an herbivore or a carnivore.
The body has some amazing systems. Examine all these systems by dissecting a frog. Then, take a close look at the digestive system and the cardiovascular system.
