Tadpole Troopers (ages 3-5)

Tadpole Troopers is a nature class for 3, 4, and 5 year olds and the adult of their choice. Classes offer hands-on investigations, crafts, and a guided nature walk for a parent and child.

Date: January 4 – May 3
Time: One Saturday a month at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
Fees per student: $16 M / $32 NM per class

Register now January 4: Scaly Snakes

The Arboretum is home to a number of native snakes and they are a very important part of our ecosystem. Come join our class to ssssssee a snake and touch its scales.

Register now February 1: Turtle Time

What are scutes? It’s not a way a turtle moves! Scoot on over to the Arboretum for a fun time with turtles!

Register now March 1: Leapin’ Lizards

Lizards have the best moves. They leap, do push ups and some can lick their eyeballs! leap on over to the Arboretum to visit with classroom lizards and go on a lizard hunt!

Have you ever felt a frog? Find out why you shouldn’t touch a frog while we make some homemade frog slime.

Register now May 3: Fantastic Fish

Fish are the slimy and scaly friends of the Arboretum. Join our class and we will try to catch a fish or two.
