Tyke Hikes

Encourage your little one’s curiosity with nature and the outdoors.


Children 18 months to 3 years, with their adult companions, can join naturalist Naletta Galbraith for a nature story reading and stroller-friendly hike on the Arboretum trails. Enjoy a new nature experience each week!
Dates: Every Monday (Late August through May – check calendar for holiday cancellations)
Times: 9:00 or 10: 00 a.m.
Cost per class: Free for members; $3 per child for nonmembers (12 months and older). Pay at the door.
Note: Please dress for weather. Closed-toe shoes are best for trail hikes. Older preschoolers are welcome but are the responsibility of the adult companion.
Groups: Large groups such as child care centers, organized mom groups and home school association may schedule private tyke hikes subject to availabiltiy. The minimum fee for groups is $36. To schedule your group, contact Naletta Galbraith at 713-366-0376.
