Scouting

Mini Badge workshops (1 ½ – 2 hour programs) for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Help scouts earn some or all of the requirements for a badge or achievement. Scouts investigate the nature sanctuary with a naturalist and learn about the fascinating ecology of the forest. All of our scout programs use our nature sanctuary as a field laboratory for hands-on explorations!

Eagle Scout Program

The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is a frequent beneficiary of Eagle Scout Projects. Eagle Scout projects provide funding and manpower for improvement and conservation of our natural habitats and infrastructure. Previous projects have ranged from building boardwalks, to trail system improvement, to removal of invasive exotic plants and planting of native species.     Questions and candidate information forms should be directed towards Trevor Rubenstahl ( or 713-366-0428).
