Tribute Gifts

Honor the ones you love by making a tribute gift to the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. Special people deserve a special tribute, one that grows and gives through the years. We will send a gracious acknowledgement of your gift and a greeting to the individual whom you designate on our specially designed card with any tribute gift. The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible.

Commemorative Bench program

Along the trail, and sometimes in places one would not expect a bench to wait for him, a visitor will find a quiet spot with a bench, inviting rest and contemplation. One may be reminded that others have walked the trail and have found the same still pleasure. There is a lovely communion of spirits created in this discovery.

Scattered throughout our 155 acres are more than 20 benches, most of which are dedicated to individuals for whom the Arboretum has been significant.

The Arboretum welcomes the placement of dedicated benches, and will work with individuals to place them in meaningful, appropriate spots. The cost of a bench is $1,500, which pays for the bench, a commemorative plaque, and maintenance.

Tribute program

The Nature Center accepts monetary donations in any amount to honor or memorialize an individual. The honoree will be entered into our register of memorials or honors, and both the recipient and donor will be acknowledged. We will notify your special person or that person's family with a card or letter informing them of your tribute gift.
