Naturalist Explorers classes introduce children ages 5 to 8 to environmental and natural history topics in a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere.
Classes include a short introduction inside followed by hands-on, engaging activities outside. Parents are welcome to participate with their child or drop them off. |
All classes include a short introduction inside followed by outdoor activities. Children should come dressed for the weather, wear closed toe shoes, and bring a snack and water. Classes are offered one Saturday each month from August to May.
- Advanced reservation required. Register online or by mail or fax (713-681-1191). Payment must be included at time of registration.
- Registration deadline is the Wednesday prior to each class; confirmation will be mailed or emailed to you.
- Cost (per child/per class): $15 for members (Family Tree or above); $30 for non-members.
- Series Discount: Register for all 5 classes by January 23 and save: $65 for members; $130 for non-members.
- Cancellation policy: You must notify us of your cancellation in writing via fax (713-681-1191) or email no later than 10 days prior to class to receive a 50% refund. No refunds are issued within 10 days of class.

Fabulous Frogs
Come and learn all about frogs and toads. We will practice making frog calls with ordinary everyday objects and learn about their habitat needs by creating take home habitats for tadpoles.
