Hot Diggity Dog!

Join other nature and canine lovers for Party Animals, a new social mixer at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center for Hounds and Hula on Saturday, May 3, from 3 to 5 p.m., weather permitting. Following the tail-wagging Bow-Wow Bash and the trendy Mutt-Strutt, Hounds and Hula, the final Party Animals celebration this spring is a bit more lei’d back.

Sponsored by 002 Magazine, dogs on leashes and their owners are invited for refreshments and Hawaiian music in the meadow to salute summertime, weather permitting.

The host in May for this bow-wow luau will be Fred, a friendly Basset Hound, who will be there to greet everyone with a complimentary sniff and lei.

Wear your Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, flip flops and sun block for a howling hula time. Guests can win great prizes at the limbo or hula hoop contests.

Bring a blanket and enjoy basking in the sun with the melodic sounds of the ukulele transporting you and your dog to a tropical puppy paradise.

Follow arrows to satellite parking, from there walk your pooch to the Arboretum and Party Animals.
