Water Quality Monitoring
To schedule your group for Water Quality Monitoring, print and send in your completed Field Trip Reservation Request form (pdf file).
Middle or High School students can participate in a survey of nature center aquatic habitats. Students will perform basic water testing procedures and an aquatic invertebrate survey. Students will learn the importance of watersheds and identify their local watershed.
- TOUR TIMES: Programs are 2 hours and can be scheduled, Tuesday - Friday, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
- GROUP SIZE: We can accommodate a maximum of 40 students; a minimum of 10 students is required. Program is for middle or high school students only (Grades 6-12).
- CHAPERONES: One adult for every 10 students is required. Chaperones over the 1:10 requirement pay $5/person.
- DRESS:Students will be more comfortable if they dress for the out of doors. Students should wear closed-toe shoes for safety; no sandals please.
- RAINY DAYS: We do not cancel in case of rain. We will provide ponchos to students, and in the case of severe weather, an alternate indoor program.
- CANCELLATIONS: Program fees are non-refundable.
- FEE: $8.00 per student.
